About Moodcore

Moodcore is a collection of contemporary abstract artworks developed from original photographic studies of studio glass.

Nick Inman is a studio glassmaker with over 30 years’ experience producing antique-style lighting in opalescent glass. Captivated by the complex patterns created when light passed through the glass, he began exploring them as a source of abstract art. Moodcore grew from that process: a catalogue of atmospheric glass-based abstracts and relief-style works created for interior spaces.

The collection is built around colour, surface, movement and mood. Original glass imagery is photographed, cropped, refined and developed into print works for residential interiors, hospitality spaces, commercial projects and design-led environments.

Abstracts

The Abstracts collection uses the natural movement, colour and optical distortion of glass as the starting point for immersive contemporary wall art. Each work is selected for its atmosphere, composition and suitability within interior schemes.

Reliefs

The Reliefs collection translates selected glass patterns into tactile, plaster-like surface images. These are flat prints designed to suggest depth, texture and architectural relief. They range from quiet, restrained surfaces to more expressive and characterful compositions, making them suitable for both understated schemes and large-scale feature walls.

Catalogue and numbering

The Moodcore trade catalogue has been curated from an archive of 115 original designs. The Reliefs collection is a more concentrated selection from that archive and currently includes 63 works. Original pattern numbers have been retained, so the numbering is intentionally non-consecutive. Both collections will continue to evolve as new work is created and further designs are selected. Many works are suitable for very large-format printing.
